Caring in the Hamptons
since 1974

The project continues to address the needs of the TW12 community and responds to situations as the need arises.

Members of the Will & Way group working with pupils from Hampton Hill Junior School on the "Tree of Life" mosaic

The Will and Way crafts and social group is thriving under the new direction of Rosemary Davies. We are not only a Group out to enjoy ourselves! We do go on outings to museums, stately homes, garden centres, sea side, boat trips etc. As well as experiencing educational sessions. We have talks about various religions, instruction on Signing, Introduction to hedgehogs and other wildlife And encouragement to do painting and handicrafts. In the past blankets have been knitted and sent abroad and up to the moment about 30 small hooded shawls have been sent to Ethiopia for new born babies.

The mosaic project which partners Will and Way with The Environment Trust for Richmond and Hampton Hill Junior School is going from strength to strength and has been extended till the end of the summer. The project has been so well received that it has been introduced to the Hampton North Working Together Group who are looking for a suitable site for a mosaic to run in Nurserylands.

Vince Cable's view of the contribution made by volunteers

In a recent articlefor the Mail On Sunday entitled "Don't despair, Britain isn't a broken society", local MP Vince Cable wrote:
"Last week I attended a party organised by a voluntary group that helps the elderly and disabled by giving them lifts to shopping centres or appointments. Numerous people spend their spare time raising money for many charities................................... There is a vast reservoir of civic pride and community spirit and it is insulting to say that these people belong to a 'broken society'. "
