Director Fiona Brennan was approached by Joe Peccorelli to work in partnership with pupils of Hampton Hill Junior School on an inter-generational project. Joe, through the Environment Trust for Richmond, had secured the funding and was keen to work with older people in the community.

Mosaic artist Susie John was to facilitate the project and together to illustrate the circle of life, the Tree of Life was born. A group of older ladies from the Greenwood Centre worked alongside Hampton Hill Juniors to depict the cycle of nature in the world of a tree. The story tells of nature and nurture as trees bloom to provide pollen for the bees, shelter and nesting areas for the birds, drop their leaves to fertilise the ground, stimulating new growth and providing a habitat for insects. The tree provides food for the squirrels, birds and the deer.

The project lasted a year and can be seen outside the Greenwood Centre. Due to the success of this project it has been extended through NHS funding to the wall at the entrance of the White House Community Centre.
