The
Greenwood Centre was officially opened in July 1992 by the Duchess
of Gloucester..The site was formerly St. James's Church Hall,
but part of the building dates back to 1860 when it formed part
of the first school to be established in Hampton Hill.
The Centre is now the headquarters of the Hampton & Hampton
Hill Voluntary Care Group, an independent registered local charity
set up in 1994 by community- spirited volunteers.
