Keeping to the main theme of "Lighting
Up", volunteers at The Greenwood Centre constructed
lanterns and they were carried in the parade by Teddington
Rugby Club's youth team, while dads and supporters helped
to marshal the event. Students from Esher College spontaneously
joined our part of the procession, carrying more lanterns
and wielding collecting buckets. Grateful thanks to Kirsty,
Hannah, Jess, Imani, Jake, Megan, Ciara, Lucy and all
the others who helped us! Videos featuring The Greenwood
Centre are available to see at www.teddingtonandhampton2010.com.
It was a joyous occasion and
we managed to raise £500 from the tombola and the
collections, so thank you to everyone who participated.

Mel Sullivan and John Veitch who run
The Dukes Head, Hampton pulled out all the stops over
the Bank Holiday weekend and put on all sorts of family
fun. The well known TinTin themed pub became the setting
for pony rides, face painting, a ceilidh, a charity raffle
and TinTin Trivia quiz. Everything kicked on Saturday
with Belgian Grand Prix on the big screens. Sunday saw
the early return of Mel's renowned roasts.
